Roberto Beto D'antas

Beto is a Latino screenwriter who was most recently a staff writer on MARVEL’s “SECRET INVASION,” starring Samuel L. Jackson, Don Cheadle, Sir Ben Kingsley, Olivia Colman, and Emilia Clarke.

“ALEPPO,” his original feature starring Olivia Munn as a journalist following the Syrian Civil War, is set to shoot in 2024. Prior to this, Beto wrote uncredited drafts and polishes for “THE CURSE OF TURNADOT” (China, 2021) and “APENIA” (Brazil, 2014).

His screenplays have garnered him top spots and wins in competitions such as Final Draft’s Big Break, Austin Film Festival, L.A. International Screenplay Awards, and the UCLA MFA Screenwriting Showcase (where he earned his master’s degree).

Before attending UCLA, Beto received a BA from the University of Miami and had already worked as a staff writer on a TV series for HBO Brazil and with the award-winning producers of “CITY OF GOD.”
