Paul Mitchell


Making films and telling stories has always been Paul’s passion and is a driving force behind all of his work, he’s a passionate storyteller with a cinematic eye and the ability to connect live-action with visual effects.

After graduating from Design school in London, Paul joined the BBC graphic design department. He began his professional career working on a diverse range of projects from BBC Science to BBC Sport and BBC ONE promotions. Picking up no less than 21 international awards and nominations, Spanning the UK, Europe, US, Canada and Australia. Most noted for the BAFTA nomination for the Olympics opening titles.

Paul relocated to Los Angeles to expanded his career in film and commercials working as a Creative Director at Prologue films, he continued to design and direct a range of award winning projects picking up an Emmy and three Emmy nominations in 2011 and 2010. Most noted for his Visual effects work on Ironman 2, Battleship and G.I.JOE Retaliation.

Paul then became Head of department and Creative Director/Director for Mill+ LA, Where he continued to direct more high profile commercials for Gatorade, Jack Daniels, Activision and is most noted for the “It’s On Us” PSA campaign for the Obama administration which had a star studded cast.

More recently Paul has become a freelance Director in LA working with multiple clients. Paul has worked and collaborated with numerous large brands and film Studios: Marvel, Warner Bros, Universal, Paramount, Activision, BBC, Nike, Coke, Gatorade, Jack Daniels, NFL, Lexus, The North Face. He has been recognized by The Emmys, BAFTA, PromaxBDA, New York TV & Film Festivals.
